Leitu Bonnici is a graphic designer, filmmaker and artist based in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia).
Within the field of graphic design her work spans identities, typography, publication, print, web and spacial design. In film, her area of focus is experimental documentary and narrative hybrids. Her art practice spans a variety of mediums and outcomes.
Her self-initiated projects facilitate critical discourse and experimentation in the intersections of graphic design, visual arts, film, wearables and objects. By exploring the subversion of materials and their traditional frameworks, she investigates ways to create connection between digital and physical, fixed and dynamic, past and future. She also seeks to find hidden or new value in all that is discarded and unappreciated.
Leitu runs the multidisciplinary practice Le Phem Era:
She is currently the Media and Communications Coordinator at Kings Artist-Run Gallery:
Her practices are currently located at Studio 5, Level 1 River Studios 41–59 Sims Street, West Melbourne.
